Early College Culinary Summer Program
High school students who reside in Greenville County can spend the summer building professional culinary skills while earning college credit in a fully accredited program. The Culinary Institute of the Carolinas at Greenville Technical College’s Northwest Campus is offering a combined Sanitation and Principles of Food summer course designed specifically for Early College students.
Earn six college credit hours upon completion!

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
The Culinary Institute of the Carolinas will be teaching a combination of these courses designed specifically for Early College students.
CUL 101 Principles of Food Production I: An introductory course in professional food preparation and cooking methods. Students will be in cooking labs daily to learn knife skills, introductory meat fabrication and basic cooking methods.
CUL 155 Sanitation: Students will be introduced to the culinary and hospitality industry, learn rules of professional food service sanitation practices and earn their ServSafe Food Manager Certification.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
The Culinary program is open to high school students 16 years of age and above with a minimum 2.0 GPA and a grade of 70% or higher in English 1. The class will be limited to 15 students.
