Radiologic Technology Career Pathway
The Radiologic Technology Associate in Applied Science program instructs students in the production of diagnostic images, patient management and as a technical assistant to radiologists.
The mission of the Greenville Technical College Radiologic Technical Program is to graduate well-trained, entry-level Radiologic Technologists who are prepared to successfully demonstrate professional behavior, patient-centered care, clinical competence, effective communication and critical thinking skills to function as a member of the health care team. Graduates are employed in hospitals, clinics, health departments, doctor’s offices and outpatient imaging centers. The Radiologic Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
IN HIGH SCHOOL
By taking these courses in high school, students will satisfy some of the requirements necessary to complete an application to the GTC health science programs.
Eligible students:
Available to students in grades 11 and 12.

When:
Courses are offered through Early College Monday through Thursday in online or in-person format.

High school students take dual enrollment classes at Greenville Technical College.
Result:
High School graduation + ready to apply for the Radiologic Technology Program at GTC
AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
After high school, students may apply for and transition into Phase II of the Radiologic Technology Program at Greenville Technical College. Upon acceptance into the Radiologic Technology program Block I-V courses are taken:

Result:
Graduates are awarded the Radiologic Technology Associate in Applied Science and are eligible to sit for the national registry examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
