Mechatronics Career Pathway
Mechatronics students train in industrial environments using electrical, electronic and mechanical applications to identify and troubleshoot systems and repair automated manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotics.

With this Career Pathway, students will learn basic foundational skills and understanding in electrical, mechanical, fluid power and automation control commonly found in the industrial manufacturing environment.

Available to students in 11th and 12th grade

Courses are offered in the morning and afternoon blocks, Monday through Thursday.

Result:
High School Graduation + credit toward the GTC Mechatronics program
Graduates are qualified for Tech Scholar or Apprentice positions at advanced manufacturing businesses, with average starting pay of $16.00 to $19.50 per hour.
AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
After high school, students seamlessly transition into the Associate in Applied Science in Mechatronics Technology program at Greenville Technical College.
